As I embark on this business journey, I have realized that there is so much to learn about literally everything. I wanted to share what this process has been like and hopefully continue to uncover new experiences, as well as pose those questions that I am still seeking answers to! And I feel it is only fitting to start from the beginning of the process with the first blog post.
Starting a business is just like anything else, you're never "exactly" ready, but you have to start somewhere! And once you're in the thick of it, adapting and overcoming is really the only option.
I have found that most things are not as hard as they seem, but also not as easy as they seem...if that makes any sense. With each new endeavor I take on, at first I think "omg I'm really doing it!" and then just a few moments later I run into an obstacle I had not foreseen. Like I said, obstacles are essentially inevitable when starting/running a business and so at this point I kind of expect to run into some kind of dilemma when trying something new.
I don't want to go on for days on the very first blog post so I will leave you all with the really cool thing that I realized today and the reason I decided to even start writing blog posts:
As I sat with my banker Ellen, a few months ago, to apply for a business debit card, she asked me what my projected sales would be for the year. I told her $300 and felt that might even be on the high side as I was really just starting to get the word out.
Now, 6.5 months in, I am at around $2,400 in gross sales!!!! To some that might seem like nothing, but to me that has been sweat and hard-work and over 100 actual items sold. I am doing my best to run my own race and I am very proud of what Kreation is and is becoming.
Until next blog...GET AFTER IT!!
